Famous People I Knew In School
(I said I knew them. I didn't say they knew me.)

- Alumnus of the Europäische Schule Karlsruhe in Germany, where many of the kids went to school whose parents worked at Euratom, then a nuclear research facility, now a mult-faceted research institute.
Search the European School Alumni Association's directory to find former students in any of the 9 schools.
- Alumnus of Naperville Central High School, where Paula Zahn (ABC News, now CNN) was a couple of years behind me.
- Graduate of Sandia High School, Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1974 with Madolyn Smith-Osborne (Funny Farm, Urban Cowboy, The Super, If Tomorrow May Come, All Of Me, Sadat, 2010).
- Class of 1979 at Harding University.
Actually I started in 1974 as Class of '78, but then I got CLEP credit up front, making me a sophomore, so I would have been Class of '77.
Then I changed my major to Pre-Engineering, which is a 5-year program, so I was changed to Class of '79.
But then I pulled a Bill Gates and dropped out after only 2 years when I discovered computers.
The poor registrar never could figure out what 'class of' to put me in, so he left me in 1979.
- Also studied Computer Science at University of New Mexico from 1976 to 1977 where I discovered I knew more about computers than my professors, so I quit and jumped right into programming at the Laser Weapons Lab of the US Air Force.
